First stop was the guest room as the bed is the right height for transferring from his chair so that's where he will be residing temporarily. He got his new battery operated wheelchair last night and it's very nice. It actually can recline and it's cushioned unlike a normal wheelchair. He won't be able to get into the tub so he will have to have sponge baths. I guess we can wash his hair at the kitchen sink with the hose. I could always put him out in the backyard and hose him off! He was only home for 1 1/2 hours but it felt good for him to see his house after being gone for 2 months.
He's a little sad today as his occupational therapist is moving back to PA and this is her last day. The rehab hospital has a great therapy team and he has enjoyed working with all of them. No coming home date yet but we're hoping for Thursday or Friday.
