Taken after a nice long nap
Everything went well with the colonoscopy and they didn't find anything which is a huge relief. The doctors are basically saying that his body has gone through so much trauma, pain meds and antibotics block your system up and then they gave him relief to unblock him and usually time will make it all right again. In other words, they don't know what is wrong with him. He managed to eat a small bowl of oatmeal this morning and some juice and had some chicken, linguine and carrots for lunch and of all things cheese cake and managed not to have any issues throughout the entire day. As a matter of fact he slept all day and woke up at 5:00 and I said "you slept all day and now that you are awake I'm going home." He was actually sitting up watching the news and eating an Italian ice and in good spirits. He's so relieve to have that rather messy prep and test behind him. I've gotten to be friends with this other lady who also has a loved one in the hospital for the entire month we've been there and when she came in this morning she said she brought a cork and a hammer to stop Leonard up with! The doctor said this evening that if Leonard does well over the weekend she will release him on Monday to go back to the rehab hospital. Let's pray that happens.
