Day 5 Sunday

Today they removed the ventilator tube going down his esphogus and had a temporary tracheotomy. This will be more comfortable for him and eventually he will be able to have it capped and will be able to speak. Not speaking I think is one of his biggest frustrations. I'm sure he will give us an earful when he is able. I really miss having conversations with him. He was sedated most of the day which is good as he needed to rest. Still not much improvement with the lungs. Our longtime friends, red hat friends and family have surrounded us with their love and support and we are all extremely grateful. Prayers are being said all over the country, Canada and Australia that I know of and they are working.
