Day 7 Tuesday

Today is a big day. Hip surgery is scheduled this afternoon at 12:30. The ortho surgeon estimates it will take 4 to 5 hours. As things go, they didn't come to get him until 1:30. The surgery took 6 hours and it was success and the surgeon said he did very well. The hip bone had approx 6 or 8 breaks. His vitals stayed strong throughout the surgery. This was all very overwhelming but we are extremely optimist. After he got all settled back in his room, we kissed him goodnight and went home. He was heavily sedated.
