Day 19 Sunday

Leonard is all settled into his room on the 5th floor. He had a roommate but never met him as the curtain was pulled and he was discharged today. Hopefully he can have the room to himself until he is released to the rehab facility on Tuesday. That's right, he's doing so well they're kicking him out! Still has the trach and the IV connection as he's still getting antibiotics. They weaned him off of the morphine today and are giving him oral pain meds as he can't be on morphine in rehab. His ortho doc saw him this morning and said everything was looking good. He is somewhat concerned about the bottom of his right foot as he has areas that he can't feel anything. The doctor even poked him with a needle and he didn't feel it. He could have some nerve damage that hopefully is temporary. He had a very restful day.
